II.IMPLEMENTING IGCSE & A-LEVELS: THE WBIS PLAN
Year 10 Plan
- Starting in Year 10, pupils are able to select subjects from the wide range of IGCSE subjects offered at WBIS.
- Year 10 pupils MUST complete the 5 (five) IGCSE subjects of their choice in 1 (one) academic year (Year 10) and sit for exams in the 5 subjects in the June Examination Session of the same academic year.
- Students must also successfully complete the MOE Arabic, Religion and Social Studies examinations for 1st Secondary.

Year 11 Plan
Pupils will be required to choose 3 additional IGCSE subjects and sit for examinations in the 3 subjects in the June Examination Session of the Year 11 Academic Year.
Additionally, pupils are required to choose a minimum of 2 (two) AS-Level subjects from the wide range offered at WBIS and sit for examinations in the 2 AS-Level subjects in the June Examination Session of the Year 11 Academic Year.
- Choice of AS / A-Level subjects is based on the requirements of the particular university each pupil would like to enroll in and particular major that each pupil wishes to study.
The WBIS Key Stage 4 Academic Counselor will assist students in the making their choice of subjects in order to ensure that their choices conform with the requirements of the universities they wish to join and the majors they wish to study.
- Students must successfully complete the MOE Arabic, Religion and Social Studies examinations for 2nd Secondary.
